The Journey Is The Reward

If someone told me 10 years ago I would be a single mom, I would not have believed them. I am happy to be a mom but it is hard being a single parent and having to share custody with someone who doesn't care about about my child's well being. I always wanted 4-6 kids but after this life changing situation I don't want anymore. I'm not where I want to be and I'm drowning financially. I enjoy every moment I have with my son and I could not imagine life without him. He's so smart, funny, goofy, loving, adventurous, and confident. He teachs me about myself constantly. I want to be better because I want to give him the beautiful life he deserves. This journey is hard but its my journey, our journey. We will come out better because of it.

My work life is a mess. I honestly want to pursue a creative business but I don't know how to save when I owe more than I make. I'm constantly choosing which bills I'm paying and which I have to delay. I'm an MBA graduate but I make less than $70,000. Living in the bay area, that income is not enough. Luckily I have an affordable apartment in the heart of the bay area. My life should be better than this but I'm thankful for the good times and the teachable moments.
